Testing with student teachers

There are increased expectations for teacher students to possess high digital competence and the ability to select and assess both analog and digital learning resources. Therefore, Swedish Edtest has developed a guide on how an institution, as part of teacher training, can use our evaluation and testing method.

The guide is based on experiences from tests conducted with 80 preschool teacher students, practice preschools, and two edtech companies during the fall of 2020. One goal of the project was to strengthen students' digital competence, enabling them to set clearer requirements for digital learning resources. This marks the first time a teacher training program in Sweden has tested digital learning resources for its students.
